ROOT CANAL
If you are having prolonged sensitivity or throbbing pain in your tooth, it could be because the nerve in the tooth is inflamed beyond repair. In this case the irreversibly inflamed nerve tissue needs to be removed from the tooth and replaced with a bio-compatible filling material in to the canals. This is called a root canal.
Root canals are also done when a tooth has an abscess that originates from the nerve tissue.
Generally the initial inflammation of the nerve tissue progresses in to dead tissue and then eventually in to an abscess.
Don't wait until the very last minute, the early on in the progression the nerve tissue is removed and replaced the better the prognosis for the root canal treatment. Discuss your symptoms with Dr. Pandya to determine if you need a root canal.
At Flossophy Dental we take utmost care to ensure that a root canal is done in the most comfortable, safe, and pain free manner as possible so you don't suffer from the popular phobia patients have of getting a root canal.
